Paris Shower Curtain, Bushwick.

New 4x5 image. Not really sure how this fits in with the others, but I really like the light in it and I've been feeling like there needs to be some sort of expansion on the more two dimensional images of objects and photographs. I'm still making those images in addition to images like this one, but I don't think they work solely on they're own. I'm still not sure if this an entirely successful image, but I think it's a good step. Any thoughts?

Parked cars, fall.

My parents cars are no longer among them.

Michael Wolf's Transparent City

Great video interview over at Conscientious with Michael Wolf about his Transparent City project that's up at Aperture right now. Strangely enough, I was walking around galleries in chelsea on Saturday and managed to somehow bump into Joerg Colburg at pretty much every space I went to, and happened to be looking at the Michael Wolf show while he was doing this interview. Really weird. Also, I was looking at the Barbara Crane show in back and almost literally bumped into Todd Papageorge, which made for a pretty awkward "you're in the way of the photographs I'm looking at" dance around a cluster of images. I'm very, very easily intimidated by people in the art world. Go figure.

Sean Stewart

Sean Stewart got in touch with me a few weeks ago, as we were both applicants for the POC collective. His work is pretty great, and is definitely worth taking a look. I also just stumbled onto an interview that he recently did with Jonathan Cherry at Mull It Over, and he has some interesting thoughts about his project Local Color.

A few things

First off, heres a really interesting post on A Photo Student about the need for photographers and photography programs to "adapt" to new technologies in the current Web 2.0 climate. Really, really worth a read.

Second, here are some images I shot recently of my friend Joe for him to use as contributing editor photographs in magazines he's been writing for. He'll have an article in the upcoming issue of Pin-Up.

Third, I still have a few prints available in both images from my November print sale. If you're interested, please email me at, everything can be paid for securely online by paypal, and at $50 for an editioned 8x8" Digital C-Print, you really can't ask for more affordable art.

Print Sale!

So I'm holding a fundraiser print sale in order to jump start some new work I've been thinking about, and some equipment that is just slightly out of my grasp right now. Which is awesome for you, since that equals sweet deals on prints! The two images above are from my recent series "The Things I Once Owned", and I'm offering them as an 8x8" Digital C-Print in an edition of 15 for $50 each. Please email me at if you're interested; please include your address and contact information.
